Southern Controls, Inc. began with just two guys and a very small rented facility in Montgomery, AL in 1974. Since that time, the company has grown to seven locations and over one hundred employees. With the corporate office in Montgomery and branch locations in Bessemer, Decatur, Mobile, Auburn, Smyrna, and Baton Rouge we are in a position to serve a wide and varied customer base. Motor controls and sensors have always been our core business, and in recent years we have added more technically advanced offerings as well as power distribution products to our line list.
We represent over 100 companies with products ranging from standard controls such as relays, motor starters, temperature controls, etc., to more advanced offerings such as vision systems, motion controls, touch screens, PLC's, soft starters, variable frequency drives and other “high tech” products. With the addition of our power distribution group, we now configure and provide transformers, switchboards, panelboards, busway, UPS systems and other products needed for the safe delivery of plant power within the facility. Company wide, we employ thirty-five inside sales and twenty-two outside sales people available to quote prices, take your order in a courteous and professional manner, or visit you on site. For application assistance and product advice, we have a fully trained group of fifteen engineers and technicians who are always willing to help.
